Project: 914 Tower Court

This project was a complete landscape renovation. The owners had conceptual ideas on the overall look they wanted to achieve and we were able to incorporate those into our custom landscape design. The challenge was blending the modern feel of their house with Asian elements in the landscape.

For years, we looked at our old yard thinking that our new renovations were being cheapened by our non-existent landscaping. We had a few ideas of what we wanted, but had no idea of how to proceed or what plants would flourish in our climate zone. After talking with Perfect World, we knew that they understood our concepts and goals, and we were blown away by their suggestions. Our plans were substantial, and included trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, boulders, lighting, water feature and a driveway. The entire job happend as planned, on time, and according to the budget. We could not have been happier, and we received countless compliments from both our neighbors and passersby.

Objectives

The client's objectives were to have a custom landscape design and installation that included elements from Eastern design principles. Some of the client's specific desires included a low maintenance landscape, the incorporation of a water feature, the use of low voltage lighting and a path from the driveway to the front door.

Solution

We designed the landscape to include specific plants, boulders and a curved pathway that give the feel of an Asian theme without screaming "Japanese Garden." We selected hardy low maintenance plants that compliment the design of the landscape and the style of the house. Use of a water feature and aesthetically placed boulders create focal points along the path. Low voltage lighting provides night time enjoyment of the landscape and path lighting for safety.

Result

The result is a beautiful combination of style and function that compliments both the client's house and personality.
